Marsaxlokk is a little fishing village with a picture perfect bay and lies to the south of Malta. Many Maltese have summer residences
there and usually pack up and leave their 'winter' homes in June and stay in the 'summer' home until September. During the summer months it buzzes with activity and with its U-shaped coastline, beach and multicoloured fishing vessels, the atmosphere is full of characters and is enhanced by a large variety of modern facilities, restaurants and bars. The sunday market is worth a visit, where you will find anything from vegetables and fruit to beautiful lace tablecloths and bed linenand what better way to rest those tired feet? A cappuccino or long smoothie which can be enjoyed from the many cafes and bars dotted on the opposite side of the market itself.
